18 places across Ekkamai and Phra Khanong.
Ekkamai & Phra Khanong pairs two BTS stops in Bangkok, and the weight sits heavily on one side. Seventeen of the eighteen places here are in Ekkamai. Phra Khanong has one, Burbrit Craft Beer @Phra Khanong BTS, Bangkok, pouring Rangoon Blonde and Shan Hills Hazy IPA. Drinking dominates the mix: nine bars, six restaurants and three clubs.
Craft beer takes four of those nine bars. Cocktails cover much of what is left among the bars in Ekkamai, Bangkok. Iron Balls Distillery & Bar pours a Charred Sandalwood Negroni and a Cucumber and Bael Fruit Sour; Mandalay Rooftop Bar mixes a Mandalay Sour and sets Burmese pub snacks beside it, from a rooftop. One more bar trades on live music and Red Label bottle service.
Food leans Japanese, with three of the six restaurants running izakaya or yakiniku counters. Teppen Ekkamai grills warayaki fish and gyutan blocks; Wattana Panich, on the Thai side, ladles beef noodle soup and braised beef tendon into bowls. Papaya salad, tom yum goong and crisp oyster omelettes fill out the rest. Three clubs sit on the Ekkamai side too, Sherbet Club Bangkok among them, with private KTV rooms, live band and coyote shows and bottle service.
