27 places across Silom, Sathorn and Yen Akat.
Silom & Sathorn covers three neighbourhoods in Bangkok: Silom, Sathorn and Yen Akat. Six rail stations serve it. On the BTS those are Sala Daeng, Chong Nonsi, Saint Louis and Surasak; the MRT adds Silom and Lumphini. Nine of the venues are in Sathorn, all of them restaurants, and a single one is in Yen Akat.
Seventeen restaurants make up the bulk of the twenty-seven venues, and seven of them price at the top band. German cooking turns up at Sühring, the sole Yen Akat entry, where the food runs from Spätzle with Périgord truffle to Black Forest cake. Le Du, in Silom, plates khao chae and river prawn as modern Thai. Cheaper eating is here too. Crispy som tum and larb land at Somtum Der for two price bands less.
Drinking concentrates in Silom. Bars in Silom, Bangkok cover all seven listed here, in pairs near enough: two rooftops, two live music rooms, two speakeasies and one cocktail bar. Vol de Nuit, The Hidden Bar pours a rosemary smokey sour; a Bangkok Sunset comes from Heaven Rooftop Bar & Lounge. All three clubs are in Silom too. A nightly drag revue runs at The Stranger Bar (House of Drag Queens), on a cover and two-drink package.
