5 places across Siam, Ploenchit, Ratchaprasong, Pathumwan and Ratchathewi.
Siam & Ratchaprasong folds five neighbourhoods together in Bangkok: Siam, Ploenchit, Ratchaprasong, Pathumwan and Ratchathewi. Six BTS stations serve them, and three echo the neighbourhood names: Siam, Ploen Chit, Ratchathewi. The rest are National Stadium, Chit Lom and Ratchadamri.
All five places listed here are restaurants. Three sit at the top price band, starting with Gaggan at Louis Vuitton, whose progressive Asian menu in Ploenchit runs to an Emoji Menu Tasting and wagyu with Thai herbs. Over in Ratchaprasong, the Thai cooking at Paste Bangkok covers blue swimming crab curry, salted duck egg relish and a heritage tom yum. Water Library goes European in Pathumwan: foie gras, truffle risotto, grilled wagyu striploin.
Mid-range prices show up once, at Bankhun Mae, a Thai restaurant in Siam, Bangkok, cooking pad thai goong sod, massaman curry and som tum. Indian Express in Ratchathewi carries the highest rating of the five, at 4.9. Its multi cuisine Indian menu lists chicken biryani, tandoori chicken masala, butter chicken with naan and prawn masala. Two of the five cook Thai, at opposite ends of the price range.
