Ten Thai kitchens in Silom and Sathorn, Bangkok, and they sort neatly into three price worlds. At the top, Nahm, Le Du and Saawaan each run set menus: Nahm has held a Michelin star since the Thailand guide launched, Le Du reworks khao chae and massaman, and Saawaan builds a seasonal ten-course menu around one traditional technique per course. In the middle band sit Baan Khanitha, Blue Elephant and Issaya Siamese Club, all three of them in old buildings: a 1903 colonial mansion for Blue Elephant, an early-twentieth-century villa for Issaya.
The cheaper end is where the regional cooking is. Somtum Der on Sala Daeng has carried a Bib Gourmand every year since 2018 for Isaan food, crispy som tum and larb moo tod. Khao-Soi Soi Convent brought northern khao soi down from Chiang Mai in 2023 and serves it both in broth and dry. Baan Ice cooks family recipes from a kitchen founded in 1990.
None of these ten trades past midnight, which sets this page apart from most of Bangkok's Thai listings. Mango Tree runs latest, closing at midnight exactly. Le Du is the only one that closes a full day, on Sundays, and it is also the only one that keeps lunch service to Thursday through Saturday.
Not open every day: Le Du (closed Sun).
