5 venues listed on Weavify.
Chinese cooking on Weavify is concentrated almost entirely in one street. Four of these five restaurants are in Yaowarat (Chinatown), Bangkok, and they cover four separate traditions. HAGOW serves Hong Kong-style dim sum from a two-storey shophouse with an open kitchen where the dumplings are folded in view. Nai Ek Roll Noodle has been trading kuay jab since the 1960s, in its current shop since 1989, and is the cheapest kitchen on this page. The Seafood Cafe hides inside Soi Texas with a menu of more than a hundred items, lobster and oysters through to seabass.
Potong is the outlier among them. It occupies a 200-year-old family shophouse that traded as a Chinese herbal pharmacy from 1910, and the kitchen works the Thai-Chinese line directly: century egg with caviar, char siu with Thai herbs, a heritage Chinese-Thai curry.
The fifth is nowhere near Chinatown. Kopihub Prime in Ari serves Hat Yai-style southern Thai dim sum across two floors, starting at 25 baht a basket and climbing to boxes with truffle, A5 wagyu and gold leaf. It also opens earliest of the five, from seven in the morning at weekends. Potong is the only one that closes a day, on Wednesdays.
Not open every day: Potong (closed Wed).
