Rooftop bars in Bangkok

Bangkok's rooftop bars are a vertical business, and the fourteen on Weavify sit at wildly different heights. Tichuca occupies the 46th floor of the T-ONE Building over Soi Sukhumvit 40, spread across three levels around an LED tree. Octave spans the 45th, 46th and 49th floors of the Bangkok Marriott Sukhumvit and finishes in a circular sky bar. Cul de Sac sits ten floors up on a hotel roof in Thonglor, with string lights, graffiti walls and 1980s memorabilia.

Sukhumvit holds six of the fourteen, Thonglor three, and the rest are scattered one apiece through Ari, Ekkamai, Old Town and the riverside. Several of them are as much kitchen as bar. Belga cooks Belgian brasserie food on the 32nd floor of the Sofitel, Pastel serves Mediterranean plates from the 22nd floor of a Soi 11 hotel, and Bangkok Heightz runs a modern Thai menu on the 39th.

Twelve of the fourteen stay open past midnight, most of them until two. The two that do not are worth knowing: Tichuca closes at midnight sharp, and Brewave Ari opens at eleven in the morning and shuts at midnight, making it the only one on this page you can reach for lunch. Attitude in Silom is closed on Sundays.
